This past Saturday and Sunday I was fortunate enough to spend in Zermatt. Again, bluebird days prevailed. Snow was awesome and food was delicious. The views never get old.
Here's a view from my lunch table on Saturday
This was the place that we stopped at for lunch on Saturday
My friend Mary had rented an apartment in Zermatt for the week. This is a view from the balcony...really wish I could have stayed for the whole week.
We sipped wine at the apres ski on the balcony of the apartment and watched the sun set behind the Matterhorn
Then in the morning, this was the first thing I saw upon sitting up and looking out the window
The sunrise illuminating the Matterhorn

Mary relaxing and looking over the menu
My delicious salad....all organic food. This place grows their own vegetables and has their own grass fed cows and chickens....raised locally in the Alps. This salad was more delicious than a picture can show.
Traditional swiss dessert.....meringue
Dessert.....for three

Adventures in the Snow
Leysin finally got some snow!! We've even had a ski day thanks to Ullr. Here are some of my most recent adventures in the snow.
Rippin' through the pow in the trees
Setting out to cross-country ski in Les Mosses with old school gear
Hangin' out on my balcony enjoying the sunset
The famous Croute-Mayen explained below
Tyler, rippin' it
Me rippin' through the pow
Telecabine-ing up to the top of Leysin
Sunrise on February 28th from my balcony...shortly before a ski day was announced.
Enjoying a vin chaud at Les Fers and soaking up the sun on our beautiful mountain
Beautiful views from Leysin
Addie during the skin up to Les Fers
Finally, Leysin got some snow. So we had our first ski day of the season on Monday February 28th. Ski day means classes get canceled and we go to the slopes to make turns and soak in the sun....
It also means the annual Croute Mayen for most....white wine soaked bread with cheese, egg and ham covered in cream.....
Aaron ripping down Chaux de Mont through the powder...
Clear skies
